Here, Meadows Publishing Solutions presents our DesignMerge software via video demonstrations.

DesignMerge Pro is a very powerful and sophisticated variable data printing (VDP) and data publishing software package that works directly within the QuarkXPress® or Adobe® InDesign® applications. The idea behind DesignMerge is very simple - just take any normal QuarkXPress or InDesign document, and “Make it Variable™”.

You can use DesignMerge to personalize virtually every aspect of a document, including Variable Text, Graphics, Articles, and even entire Layouts. DesignMerge also includes a number of advanced VDP features, such as automatic copyfitting, conditional logic programming, bar coding, and multi-up layout support.

Rules Module

The DesignMerge Rules Module is a standard component of DesignMerge Pro that provides sophisticated conditional processing and interactive testing features.By using conditional processing (if-then-else statements) in your VDP jobs, you have the ability to control the content or styling of the data or layout, based upon the contents of one or more database fields. Rules can be applied to individual Variable Links, Boxes, or entire document pages, and are evaluated and executed in real time, during the merge session.The DesignMerge Rules Module supports a large set of pre-defined “Actions” that can be applied to data, boxes, or page content in a QuarkXPress or InDesign layout.
