DesignMerge Demos

Here, Meadows Publishing Solutions presents our DesignMerge software via video demonstrations.

DesignMerge Pro is a very powerful and sophisticated variable data printing (VDP) and data publishing software package that works directly within the QuarkXPress® or Adobe® InDesign® applications. The idea behind DesignMerge is very simple - just take any normal QuarkXPress or InDesign document, and “Make it Variable™”.

You can use DesignMerge to personalize virtually every aspect of a document, including Variable Text, Graphics, Articles, and even entire Layouts. DesignMerge also includes a number of advanced VDP features, such as automatic copyfitting, conditional logic programming, bar coding, and multi-up layout support.

This set of videos demonstrate the major feature sets of DesignMerge Pro.

Variable Text & Pictures

DesignMerge supports the creation of Variable Text and Pictures inside of any QuarkXPress or InDesign document.

For Variable Text, DesignMerge retains the styling of the text in the document as the variable data is merged. All of the available styling features are fully supported, including type on a curve, drop-caps, runarounds, kerning, and full color support. Just select the text you want to personalize, and use the DesignMerge floating palette to establish the link.

For Variable Pictures, DesignMerge allows you to select from a set of pre-defined picture positioning options that control how the picture is positioned within the frame when it is merged. The tagging process for pictures is also very straightforward - just select a picture frame in the document, choose a link from the DesignMerge floating palette, and click a button to establish the link.

DesignMerge also includes full support for multiple local and global picture search paths, so the variable images can reside anywhere on your system. Please view the sample video to learn more about creating Variable Text and Pictures with DesignMerge.
