High Hopes

High Hopes, by Chloe Gemmell and Emma Clayton, is inspired by modern era New York City and dystopian aesthetics, merged with the vibrant art of fantasy illustrators such as Artem Chebokha. It aims to use symbolism and details within the scene in order to create a narrative. The story, though open to interpretation, is intended to be a social commentary on the current political situation in the USA, using political satire and bright visuals. The piece has a serious message of perseverance through hardship and the endurance of hope.
