Catalina
A project by Natasha Jones and Zoe Furness. Catalina, a native Quechua woman from Ecuador, tells a story from her past. When she was just three months old, her parents carried her into the forest for a traditional Shaman ceremony, where spirits of the forest protected them and passed knowledge and wisdom from her mother to her as a baby. From this experience, Catalina has become a midwife. The animation we have produced visually describes the story she narrates in the style of a 2D illustration, produced using 3D software.
