Here, Meadows Publishing Solutions presents our DesignMerge software via video demonstrations.

DesignMerge Pro is a very powerful and sophisticated variable data printing (VDP) and data publishing software package that works directly within the QuarkXPress® or Adobe® InDesign® applications. The idea behind DesignMerge is very simple - just take any normal QuarkXPress or InDesign document, and “Make it Variable™”.

You can use DesignMerge to personalize virtually every aspect of a document, including Variable Text, Graphics, Articles, and even entire Layouts. DesignMerge also includes a number of advanced VDP features, such as automatic copyfitting, conditional logic programming, bar coding, and multi-up layout support.

Bar Coding

DesignMerge provides built-in support for PostNet bar coding, and includes a royalty-free set of bar code fonts to use with your applications. All of the conversions, including the addition of start/stop characters and check digits, are handled automatically and applied by DesignMerge during the merge session.

In addition to PostNet, DesignMerge provides an optional bar code module with support for a number of other popular formats, including Code 128, UPC, ISBN, MSI-Plessey and Code 39. When used in conjunction with the Multi-up Layout support of DesignMerge, the bar coding features make your direct mail pieces very easy to create.
