Crocodile Twists

Purpose: to promote bilateral postural muscle activity and identify imbalances. Requires multiples joints to complete range of motion.

Description: Lie on your back with legs extended and place one heel on top of the other’s toes, then extend your arms out to the sides at shoulder level with palms facing down. Contract your leg muscles to keep your legs straight as you roll your feet to the opposite side of the top foot (ie. Right foot on top, roll feet to the left). Keep your feet stacked as you try to get them to touch the floor, you can lift your hip to help the movement. Turn your head in the opposite direction and hold for 5 seconds, repeat 6 times. Do the same thing on the other side, then repeat the side that was more difficult or less flexible.
