Year of the Rat
Year of the Rat is a real-time Unreal Engine 4 environment set after the celebrations of Chinese New Year in a Hong Kong side street. Smaller scenes within the environment tell the stories of the buildings and people that populate the street, from the children’s drawings and decorations outside one of the apartments, to the smashed beer bottles and cigarettes leading through the unlocked gate of another. The design uses bold colours and verticality to create an interesting composition with a strong sense of atmosphere. An individual project created by Cameron Bichener.
