Cat calls
Catcalls, by Izzy Genova, is a short hybrid animation that combines 2D and 3D visuals to create a stylised, simplistic, and visually rich piece through the use of colour, lighting and cinematography. The project aims to bring attention to, and reflect upon, the ever present, yet not often addressed issue of catcalls as a form of harassment toward women. By fusing two techniques together, the goal was to explore the power struggle inherent to these encounters through dynamic movement and atmosphere.
