Interactive colour Paths

By Stuart Batchelor. Through the last months I have developed a process for processing and rendering an interactive digital painting. It has culminated in a research piece aimed at exploring the possible uses of the computer to create new experiences, using imagery to examine art and technology. The system takes a source image and uses a custom boids system to generate curves that adhere to the image's colour. Data is then written out and used to generate paint strokes that react to the viewer's position.
