Birds of War
The animation Birds of war, by Miglena Chervenkova, Amy Moore, James Taylor and William Wright, tells the story of the first and last flight of a young Bulgarian pilot, defending the skies of his country. On 20 December 1943 Lieutenant Dimitar Spisarevski crashes his machine into an American heavy bomber leading a squadron towards the capital of Bulgaria, forcing the others to abandon the mission and saving the city from destruction. The animation focuses on the pilot’s last moments inside his Messerschmitt, the immense courage and the human behind it.
