Firework
This individual project by MA3D student Jian Guan. Aims to produce a one minute animated
story in cartoony style from scratch. The idea of two kids dressing in cardboard was inspired by the author’s daily family life with his children. The story was mostly influenced by classic animated comedy
such as Tom and Jerry. At the end of the story, in the explosion scene of fireworks, a 2D animation technique from Japanese anime called the Itano Circus was introduced to make the shot more appealing.
