What is a Princess?
In this story, by MA3D student Yushu Yan, a mom hopes her daughter has straight hair like a princess, so she always combs her daughter’s curly hair to straight hair, often regardless of her daughter’s resistance. However, in the end, her daughter’s hair changes back to curly hair, conveying the idea of liberating nature and returning to self. It conveys to people the secret of stereotypes and being yourself.
