The Universal Foreigner
The Universal Foreigner, by Sarah Nutt and Bethany Luckins is an animated short film about a man searching for his friend in the world's biggest game of hide and seek. This project was inspired by a love of films, from Lawrence of Arabia to Tangled. The aim was to take the viewer on a journey through a variety of environments that each have their own atmosphere. The environment is rendered in 3D while the character is 2D animated, a reminder that he is a stranger in whatever foreign land he is passing through. The result is a demonstration of two artist's skills in creating a new world.
