CVRPC Central Vermont Regional Planning Commission

The mission of the Central Vermont Regional Planning Commission (CVRPC) is to assist member municipalities in providing effective local government and to work cooperatively with them to address regional issues. The CVRPC works with area non-profits, other regional organizations, State and Federal agencies, and the general public. The CVRPC implements a variety of projects and programs tailored to local and regional needs, and also completes projects of statewide importance and interest.

The member Vermont communities served by the Central Vermont Regional Planning Commission include: Barre City, Barre Town, Berlin, Cabot, Calais, Duxbury, East Montpelier, Fayston, Marshfield, Middlesex, Montpelier, Moretown, Northfield, Orange, Plainfield, Roxbury, Waitsfield, Warren, Washington, Waterbury, Williamstown, Woodbury, Worcester

The March 8, 2016 meeting of the Central Vermont Regional Planning Commission included: • Presentation to Laurie Emery commemorating her retirement after 34 years of service to the CVRPC • Executive Director's Report • Report of Central VT Economic Development Corporation • Nominating Committee Appointments • Presentation: Municipal Shared Services – Workshop on Legislative Alternatives and H. 249 Regional Council of Governments • Approval of the CVRPC participation in the Amicus Brief with other regional planning commissions regarding the Two Rivers-Ottauquechee Regional Commission’s Regional Plan court case.
