CVRPC Central Vermont Regional Planning Commission

The mission of the Central Vermont Regional Planning Commission (CVRPC) is to assist member municipalities in providing effective local government and to work cooperatively with them to address regional issues. The CVRPC works with area non-profits, other regional organizations, State and Federal agencies, and the general public. The CVRPC implements a variety of projects and programs tailored to local and regional needs, and also completes projects of statewide importance and interest.

The member Vermont communities served by the Central Vermont Regional Planning Commission include: Barre City, Barre Town, Berlin, Cabot, Calais, Duxbury, East Montpelier, Fayston, Marshfield, Middlesex, Montpelier, Moretown, Northfield, Orange, Plainfield, Roxbury, Waitsfield, Warren, Washington, Waterbury, Williamstown, Woodbury, Worcester

CVRPC Nov. 11, 2014 meeting

The November 11, 2014 meeting of the Central Vermont Regional Planning Commission included: • Report by the Central Vermont Economic Development Corporation • Public hearing to review and approve the Northfield Town Plan and confirm the Town's planning process • Review and discussion on the draft Economic element of the Regional Plan. • Presentation by Joshua Schwartz, Executive Director, Mad River Valley Planning District, on the Valley's Economic Study - "Understanding the underlying economic conditions within the Mad River Valley to help plan for future growth and development." • Finalize and accept the final "Strong and Diverse Economy" Regional Plan element
