Robotic Lipstick Capping
Operators load trays of lipstick caps onto a flighted Dorner conveyor. The conveyor indexes a set distance until an overhead Cognex camera detects available components to pick. Vision results (coordinates) are passed from the camera to a Fanuc M2-iA delta robot. The robot then picks and places the caps onto a servo driven feed-screw presented lipstick base at 60 parts per minute via a 90 degree rotary end of arm tool.
