Robotic Medical Device Packaging
Two cavity foil pouches are operator loaded onto a two lane flighted conveyor. An ABB IRB 360 Delta style robot dominates the work cell. Two pouches are picked simultaneously from the flighted conveyor and are placed into a folding station. While folding, the robot picks two already folded pouches from a second folding station. Folded pouches are robotically transported to shuttle mechanism which transports the folded pouches into a punch station. Product is discharged onto an exit conveyor.
