Arbetsmiljöverkets olycksstatistik och regler för arbeten i vägmiljö

Bridge parapets containment level – will they handle impacts by Tourist
(or interurban) Coaches? (Engelska)
Virtual tests demonstrate that impacts of present-day tourist coaches
require bridge parapets of containment categories H3 or H4.
The old category H2, assessed with a full scale test with a 13 ton bus, is
no more adequate for this purpose.

Innovation for Erecting Barriers in
Inadequate Soil Conditions – The N58 Pilot Project, Ireland. (Engelska)
Installing barriers in poor ground has been a challenge for the VRS
industry for many years. Rowan O’Callaghan of RPS Group has been
working with Transport Infrastructure Ireland (Ireland’s National Roads
Authority) and others to innovate a solution for a pilot project in the
north west of the country. The solution has been proven by the
performance of dynamic testing and it is likely to be a potential solution
for other similar locations, both in Ireland and internationally.
