Greg Morrow 12.6.18 - MRED+D & DCRP Lecture
This presentation examines the genesis of the California housing affordability crisis, using evidence from Post-Watts (1965) Los Angeles. The story traces how three exemplar groups - a business organization (LA Chamber of Commerce), a social justice organization (LA Urban league), and the homeowner organization (Hillside Federation) - helped shape the debate around housing in late twentieth century Los Angeles.
