In Luke 4:17-18 we read, “And the book of the prophet Isaiah was handed to Him. And He opened the book and found the place where it was written, "THE SPIRIT OF THE LORD IS UPON ME, BECAUSE HE ANOINTED ME TO PREACH THE GOSPEL…” Jesus was Anointed!
The title for Jesus is “Christ”, which comes from the Hebrew word “Messiah”. Both titles interpreted are; to be anointed, or, the Anointed One. That same anointing is for the believer today. In fact, Jesus wants you anointed for a very good reason, to be anointed means to be filled with power, God’s power.
