You won't get past hurts/losses unless you first grieve it.
You have a right to be angry.
Mourn the loss thoroughly.
Mercy will begin to rise in your heart toward the one who did it as comfort comes. You need to forgive from the heart.
You do that by grieve it, relive it, let The Lord comfort you in that place.
As we mourn it releases the comfort and the Comforter can come.
It's ok (you have permission) to be mad, just don't let it consume you.
Are you feeling the comfort of God in the place you are most wounded? If not it may be that you haven't taken it out and mourned it and received comfort.

1) Mourn thoroughly
2) Mercy will rise as you mourn thoroughly
3) You're enabled to forgive from the heart. As comfort flows mercy will start to rise. 4) Freedom comes to live your life.
