The Roosevelt Country

Produced on a limited budget for Dickinson State University as an historical piece to be shown at their annual Theodore Roosevelt symposium, The Roosevelt Country tells the story of Herman Hagedorn and his trip to Medora, North Dakota in 1919 to interview contemporaries of Roosevelt for a book he planned to write. Hagedorn brought along a camera and shot silent footage of those he interviewed along with historic footage of the land. The Roosevelt Country shows his film and how we recreated parts of it using an identical camera.
