The annual Technology Initiative Grants (TIG) Conference is the only national event focused exclusively on the use of technology in the legal aid community. The conference provides a unique opportunity to learn about effective uses of technology to support legal aid services, network with a national community of colleagues, and cultivate project ideas that could lead to successful TIG applications.

LSC held the 2016 TIG Conference mid-January in San Antonio, TX. We captured several sessions on video.

TIG 2016: Online Triage and Intake: One Year Later, Lessons Learned

Four New England states have implemented online triage and intake over the past two years. This has been an interesting, sometimes challenging, process. If you’re thinking of implementing similar systems, or want to share your own track record, or just want to find out about other programs’ experiences around the country, please view this session. Topics include: Who’s using it? Who’s dropping out? Major upsides and downsides. Let's build on each others' experiences: don’t reinvent the wheel and mistakes to avoid.

Presenters: Kathleen Caldwell, Websites Coordinator, Pine Tree Legal Assistance; Kate Frank, Publications Manager, CTLawHelp.org; Rochelle Hahn, Massachusetts Law Reform Institute, MassLegalServices.org Director; Brian Stewart, Developer, BDSWorks
