Alois Podhajsky - Spanish Riding School of Vienna 1952

Alois Podhajsky (24 February 1898 – 23 May 1973) was the director of the Spanish Riding School in Vienna, Austria as well as being an Olympic medal-winner in dressage, a riding instructo and teacher and an author, and is revered not only for his knowledge but also his part in the saving of the horses of the Spanish Riding School during World War II. This video presents the master himself in the airs above ground as well as leading the quadrille -- almost 70 years ago!
