urbanlip.com specialises in health, beauty and wellness imaging - from licensing still images to full film production. This is our showreel - a visual smorgasbord of what we love to do .... and what we can do for you!

The Brief: To produce a short film to illustrate the different sectors of the M&S beauty halls for use in-store and social media plus create visual content for an in-store booklet. Each sector was to have it's own identity but also work cohesively as a whole.

The Film: The 1 day (12 hour) shoot was shot on RED Dragon for it's ability to produce still images from motion and for its tonal quality when recording skin. Different backgrounds and lighting set-ups created the subtle and different identities for each sector. Responsibilities included directing and DOP for the project, overseeing the edit, production of storyboard, booking the film crew, cutaways and sourcing music.

Brief: Produce a short tutorial film with a high production value which is both informative, yet approachable and lit to communicate a 'working studio' high end beauty feel.

The Film: We developed the intro creative and the location/set to reflect the 'fashion shoot' element of the film reinforcing the 'authority' of the expert. Interactive dialogue between the model and make-up artist brings the viewer in and communicates approachability. Our responsibilities included direction, filming with a 2 x camera set-up, lighting, audio, location, post production creative/execution including the intro sequence, cutaways and sourcing music.
