Waterbury celebrates Independence Day this year on Sunday, July 2, 2017 with two special family events.

Food Truck and Fireworks Festival

Twenty-five food trucks gather in the Brass Mill Center Mall parking lot (adjacent to Union St). This event is expected to draw thousands of residents for food, fun, and a great view of the fireworks as they go off from atop Holy Land.

A Waterbury Symphony Orchestra concert will be held in Hamilton Park starting at 8:30 and continuing through the fireworks.

Fireworks go off at 9:15.

Both events are free.

Rain date is July 9.
