Inside SCSO: May 2016

This Month in Inside SCO, we have video of the 2016 Fallen Officer Ceremonies in St. Charles Parish and in New Orleans, a story of a young man with a cognitive disability who found a new friend with help from Sheriff's Deputies, as well as Sheriff Champagne's request for help to find the killers of two St. Charles Parish residents.
We also discuss the Sheriff's Office's Home Inspection Program, and how residents can get advice on how to eliminate potential hazards in their homes.

Daughter of fallen sheriff is moved by tribute to her father.

Hundreds attended the 2016 Memorial Ceremony at the Louisiana Law Officers Memorial at Lake Lawn Metairie Cemetery on May 4, Bastrop resident Gay Auger, whose father, Sheriff Thomas Auger Jr., of West Carroll Parish, died in a plane crash in 1980 along with Chief Deputy, John E. Peacock while traveling to retrieve a prisoner. "You think you have it buried inside you, Ms. Auger said. "But you know it wasn't in vain. And you know somebody still cares."
