Movement Preparation


Movement Preparation: Tuck Jump, Push-up, Burpee (222, 333, 555)

• On coach signal, athletes perform a set of tuck jumps, push-ups, and burpees

• Accelerate half the course and decelerate the remaining distance

• Review proper form for each exercise prior to starting


• After progressing through basic repetitions, modify as follows:

• “Rotate” the exercise sequence

• Do 2 tuck jumps, then await command to do a second and third exercise (take the “race” out of the drill)

PROGRESSION: Level 1 (2 reps) Level 2 (3 reps) Level 3 (5 reps)
