Movement Preparation: Right to Left Hops

• Athletes perform a continuous series of hops and leaps

• Pattern: Hop‐hop-leap, hop‐hop‐leap, etc.

• Start by hopping twice on the right foot

• On third hop, “leap” to the left foot

• Hop twice on the left foot then “leap” to the right foot

• Continue for full distance

PROGRESSION: Once the movement is fluid, progress by slightly increasing the distance for each hop.
