Movement Preparation: Grapevine

• Stand sideways at the start line, feet shoulder-width apart

• Cross the trailing foot behind the lead foot

• Step sideways with lead foot, returning feet to shoulder-width position

• Cross the trailing foot in front of the lead foot

• Step sideways with lead foot, returning feet to shoulder-width position

• Cross behind; sidestep; cross in front; sidestep; repeat

• Jog back to start line and repeat with other foot leading

• Look for controlled, quick steps and equal ability with front and back crossovers

PROGRESSION: Increase the speed of the grapevine.
