  1. Agile in Action: BC Mines Digital Services

    A project written, directed and edited by students of the Film Industry Skills and Training program delivered through Beacon Community Services.

  2. Using Design Thinking to Create a Short Film

    A short film project by students of the Film Industry Training and Skills program, delivered by Beacon Community Services. The principles of Design Thinking were layered over the hands-on learning of the 3 phases of film production to create this short film project. We interview Design Thinking Instructor Dave Whittington to learn about the 3 phases of Design Thinking.

  3. Rise and Shine Toastmasters

    Toastmasters is an international organization dedicated to the education and skill of public speaking and leadership in its members. This was a short film project created by the students of the Film Industry Training and Skills program delivered through Beacon Community Services.

  4. The S.T.A.R.T.E. Program

    The S.T.A.R.T.E. Program is a 6 week employment course through Beacon Community Services that provides customized training in the film industry along with resume and career development support. This is the final short 'bio-doc' project - written, shot and edited by the students.
