These videos will highlight robotic lobectomies but will include a variety of daVinci assisted thoracic operations. This site will also include instructional videos targeted at patients with lung cancer and other chest maladies particularly amenable to robotic assisted surgery. Robotic Right Diaphragm Plication
Right hemidaphram paralyzed after viral illness in young male. This operation is a completely portal diaphragm plication using pledgeted sutures and Ti-Knot device. NOTE: All robotic ports placed in 7ICS and pointed toward the diaphragm. The assistant port is placed low and anterior and the sewing in in the direction of the asst port to facilitate use of the Ti-Knot.
