This story follows Tom Brown Jr, "The Tracker", on his life-long obsession with saving the Earth and the survival of mankind. Trained as a boy by Grandfather Stalking Wolf, Tom became the recipient of hundreds of years of sacred Apache culture. His knowledge of survival skills put him at ease in the wild for the rest of his life, so much in fact that he wandered comfortably on foot for over a decade with nothing but the shirt on his back. When he returned, Tom became a published author and teacher. In 1978, he opened the doors to the world-renowned "Tracker School", where he has taught people from all walks of life from every corner of the world, the skills and philosophy to help them live in harmony and balance with the natural world.

"Tracker" - Documentary Segment

An excerpt from a full length feature documentary about Tom Brown Jr., this clip is a work-in-progress roughcut meant to give you a sense for our vision and a taste of what is to come.

Grandfather Stalking Wolf never held a job, drove a car, paid taxes, or participated in modern society. In 1953, when he was eighty-three years old, he encountered a small boy gathering fossils in a stream bed. He recognized that boy as the person with whom he would spend his final years, and to whom he would teach all that he knew. That boy was Tom Brown, Jr. Tom became the recipient of not only all that Stalking Wolf had learned during his travels, but the distillation of hundreds of years of Apache culture as well. These are the teachings that Tom passes on at his famous Tracking, Nature, and Wilderness Survival School.

Today, we follow a group of students and instructors on a journey into the vast wonders of the wilderness and witness their transformation as they confront their true selves.
