Pittsburg State University Symphonic Band

The Symphonic Band is offered in the Spring Semester and enrollment is open without audition for membership. Auditions may be held within the sections for chair placement.

The Symphonic Band serves an important role for the university in that it provides the general student body with the opportunity to continue their participation in a musical ensemble regardless of their major. Secondly, it provides the less experienced music majors the opportunity to build their musicianship and leadership skills.

Concerts feature a variety of music from marches and Broadway medleys to some of the finest serious music composed for this medium.
