This evening Tony presented some of the works he has in process. Quoting Tony on his compostitions..."among other things, that I felt the need for a clear and concise term that describes a compositional technique that one hears in some of my music. And the compositional technique I referred to has to do with music that transitions, and often with relatively little pause, from one genre to another. Of course, that "technique" or process has been happening in music for a very long time--(in most medleys, for example)--but to my knowledge there has never been a term to describe it. And so I refer to any instance of my music doing that--(and during my presentation the "Pathwayans" heard a couple of examples of that)--as a "genretic transition" or my having "transitioned genretically".
