Technology & Enterprise Architecture: Applying UAF with Cameo Enterprise Architecture
Speaker: Aurelijus Morkevicius, PhD
When: Day 3 : Tuesday May 24th
Today's architecture modeling environment suffers from being an effort to satisfy milestone decisions. Typically the business architecture effort is separated from the IT, leading to a lack of traceability from the business requirements to the IT architecture. Due to the way that the Architecture models are created they generally consist of static diagrams and provide limited analytical support to the decision maker. Applying the Unified Architecture Framework (UAF), industrialized and enhanced version of previously known Unified profile for MODAF and DoDAF (UPDM) moves the architecture modeling effort to one that helps organization to develop interoperable IT systems, with traceability to requirements and across views, using one integrated architecture model that enables impact analysis, gap analysis, trade studies, and simulations (what-if scenarios).
This session introduces a brand new Unified Architecture Framework v1.0, its future directions and explores how to leverage EA with modeling in an integrated and disciplined approach using Cameo Enterprise Architecture tool.
