Model-Based Systems Engineering Track: Adopting MBSE Using SysML in System Development - Joint Strike Missile (JSM)

Speaker: Stein-Erik Soegaard - Kongsberg Defense and Aerospace
When: Day 4 : Wednesday May 25th

A MBSE based approach is used in the System Architectural Design of the Joint Strike Missile (JSM). JSM is developed to be integrated on the Joint Strike Fighter/F35 for delivery to the Norwegian Air Forces. A subset of SysML is used to express the different aspects (Requirements, Functional, Logical and Physical) of the System Architecture of the JSM. A presentation of this approach will be presented followed by reflections on benefits and challenges using MBSE in the JSM in particular and in complex product development in general.
