The original idea for ‘Willard’, envisioned by our director Sam Stout, was originally created as a conceptual and narrative framework for a potential fantasy game. As such we decided to turn this idea into an animation that would function as a game trailer. I took on the main body of pre-production which included environment
and character/creature concept’s and design’s, colour script, storyboard, the full 3D pre-visualisation, as well as a number of matte painting’s used for backplates in the final piece . I was also the only animator on the project and animated all characters, creatures and props throughout the animation.
