Visit Britain Projects

Promoting your own part of the world is a really big task, but one which we took and really enjoyed the challenge.

This portfolio features some of the 15 plus films we were commissioned to produce as part of the Visit Britain Northern Growth initiative and local government.

Working directly with The Cabinet Office on the Northern Power House Film, we filmed from Newcastle to Sheffield, across from Hull to Manchester & Liverpool with Leeds and York in the middle. The films have been well received and are used by each city to promote themselves to inward investment organisations and international Business Visits and Events organisers.

We also picked up a Royal Television Society award and two nominations of which we are very proud.

Visit Northern England - Go a Little Further

Promoting your own part of the world is a really big task, which we took and really enjoyed the challenge.
Our Visit England ‘Go a Little Further’ film is a promotional piece, part of a trilogy of films made for Visit England highlighting the Northern Powerhouse areas.

The film features wonderful areas such as Robin Hoods bay and Whitby in the east, fancy restaurants and haircuts in Liverpool to historic landmarks captured with a bird’s eye view. Yorkshire sit proudly within the film with quite a few recognizable locations included.

Fun, engaging and eye opening, we all wanted to produce something that showed the unfamiliar as well as the familiar to the international audience. A little glimpse in to the eclectic scenery and modern environments of our Northern region.

The film has been well received on international stages, it’s been show at conventions in Europe and the USA and is even one of the films shown to US travelers onboard flights to the UK on Thomas Cook flights. The talk show ‘Ellen’ is participating in a USA wide competition to visit northern England and elements from the film are used within the competition marketing.

We were up against 5 other producers for the pitch to win this project, 4 or which were advertising agencies based south of the area. We were the only full service video company to go forward and ultimate win the project based on our ideas, expertise and enthusiasm that the panel could see.

We produce commercial content but being able to help advertise our own country has been a fun, hectic (filming over winter) and rewarding experience. The potential for these films to help bring inward investment and tourism to the north is quite high and we are proud to have been a part of that.
