Director statement:

Ann Rossiter has been and advocate for women’s reproductive rights after her own experience with a back alley abortion. She was an active member of the Irish Women’s Abortion Support Group during the second wave of feminism. The network provided support and guidance for women traveling from Ireland to the UK for legal abortions. The aid varied greatly from airport pick ups to arranging doctor’s appointments. This support was not a one time event, but instead because of the great number of women assisted it is a story that can be told time and time again through all the women that lived similar experiences.

The magazine publications by the feminist networks around the world during this time are what inspired the look of the film. These publications prioritized the ideas and messages over meticulous design, because of this the magazine’s have this cut and paste feel that changed with every publication.
