A David Kaltenbach Presentation:
As a filmmaker for the fishermen, I ask a simple question to these brave men who harvest the ocean, "Any really good harrowing sea stories that you experienced while out at sea." The answers have always been fascinating. Currently compiling a series of compelling sea stories. For more related videos please visit:

  1. Capt. Skip Gallimore ROGUE WAVE

September 1980 in the Grand Banks coming in from a swordfish trip, Capt. Skip Gallimore and crew experienced a rogue wave tower over the boat and completely submerge the fishing vessel. Once the vessel popped up to the surface, the wheelhouse was completely gone, one mate broke his back, the captain was seriously injured and the quest to travel 1000 miles home began. A riveting story!
