Getting Out, Getting Through
Getting Out, Getting Through tells the story of Natasha Galvin, a veteran from Midland, MI. Natasha's greatly concerned about the high rate of veteran suicides, and wants to provide opportunities for healing and socialization through nature. She believes strongly in the power of nature to heal, and during this short film viewers will see the effects that just a few hours outside can provide.
Bo Brines from the Little Forks Outfitters takes the group out to learn fly casting, and gives them an opportunity to take their newfound skills on the water. Individuals share some of their stories, and provide insight into the toll that their former service and daily lives can take. Through nature they start to heal, and the short escape these outings provide can mean the world to someone with a lot on their mind.
