Bonilla's Ministry Video Blog

WELCOME TO OUR MINISTRY VLOG
We praise the Lord for calling and bringing our family to the beautiful, but very needy gospel city of Madrid. Spain is considered “post-Chrtistian,” feeling they have evolved beyond a need for the God of the Bible. Here in Spain less than 1% (0.5) consider themselves Evangelical Christians, and despite the secular mindset, there is a new openness and spiritual hunger. "Our vision is to plant a missional and multicultural led congregation among young professional families in Madrid."

  1. Evangelism - Rwanda, Africa

By Juan Carlos and Ruth Bonilla.
    Short-Term Missions Trip.
    There is JOY in heaven.
A muslim, arrived at the school, Nyabihu Christian Academy, where we were working with the team of Neely’s Creek ARP, to give us thanks for the visit and clothes we gave them while visiting his family. Also a woman, another muslim was visiting the school. They both showed interest about Christianity, so Juan Carlos had the wonderful opportunity to share who Jesus is according to the Gospels, since for muslims their prophet muhammad also told them to read them. After explaining who Jesus is according to the Gospels I asked them if I can pray for them and they both said yes. They both accepted God’s invitation to be part of God’s family and attended the worship service the following Sunday where Juan Carlos preached.
A missions trip like this one opens many doors for evangelism in Spain, as Spaniards often do not respect the teachings of the church, but they very much respect acts of kindness to others. A missions trip to Rwanda is giving us credibility among Spaniards and open new doors for evangelism.

  2. Training to Pastors - Rwanda, Africa.

By Juan Carlos and Ruth Bonilla.
    Short-Term Missions Trip.
Thankful for the opportunity that I had to train 21 pastors from the town of Nyabihu and the surrounding area who faithfully attended the training. I have no words to describe how blessed I was for this opportunity to train this wonderful group who are so human and ready to learn.

  3. Supporting the ministry of the local Church our family is part of here in Madrid.

Among our church planting activities that we are part of here in Madrid: evangelism, discipleship, Bible studies, children's ministry, preaching, etc, we thank God for opportunities and invitations to preach the Word in local Churches. Here is a video of Juan Carlos' latest sermon he preached in the Church that our family attends on Sundays. Throughout the year, the leadership of this Church invites our family to lead different activities that are part of the life of this wonderful Church. We pray that this sermon can be a blessing to all of you as you watch it.
Sermon Title: The Importance of Trials in the Christian Life
    Bible verses: James 1:1-5
Point of the sermon: We, as Christians always have access to supernatural joy. For even in the most difficult of times we can have confidence that God is working in us so that we may be made perfect and complete.
Desired Outcome: That a deep and lasting joyful perspective of life, would become the norm for every listener, as they put their faith in the fact that even the difficult times are being used by God to bring about His glorious purposes in their lives.

  4. Street Evangelism Ministry: Madrid 2019

Please continue praying for our street evangelism ministry in Madrid. Pray for boldness in the proclamation of the gospel, and for new contacts as the result of evangelism. After presenting the gospel to people our goal is to disciple them in order to connect them with our church planting ministry. "But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for his own possession, that you may proclaim the excellencies of him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light." 1 Peter 2:9

  5. Church Planting Madrid 2019

"Let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up." (Galatians 6:9). Thank you for your unwavering prayers and support. During the past four years, we've learned more and more about the Spanish culture and have come to know and love the Spanish people and their distinctive way of life. God has used our own family in our apartment to start various works.

It has not all be fun and fiestas. The church in Spain suffers many historic wounds and Christianity has given itself a very bad name here. Yet God loves His people more than we can imagine, the resurrection of Jesus being the demonstration of this love. So, in this new year of ministry here in Spain, we are not weary, but full of hope as we see the risen Jesus patiently working to transform lives. For sure, the gospel changes everything. Pray for Spain.

We hope you enjoy watching this short video of our ministry in Spain!

  6. Pray for our neighbors

    Wonderful Testimony :
Two weekends ago a beautiful non-Christian Spanish couple that are our neighbors and friends made the comment that in the past when they have been in our house for meals they heard our family praying and asking the blessing for the food. Our Spanish friends asked if we will say a blessing for the food when we visit their home or when our two families get together to eat.
Definitely God is showing something to our Spanish friends, something that they don’t have yet....Jesus. Would you join our family and continue praying for our Spanish friends that our God will open their hearts as He opened Lydia’s heart to respond to Paul’s message in Acts 16:14.
