Jo-ann and John met 19 years ago through fate. She was 21 years old and he was 19. They had many chance encounters where they would cross each other’s paths by going to the same house gatherings/parties. They finally met each other after she started briefly dating his best friend. After a short relationship with her husband-to-be’s ex-best friend, they ran into each other at a nightclub and danced the night away. They exchanged phone numbers and were good friends for some time, sharing their daily life experiences with each other. After dancing one night, he leaned over to kiss her and they have not been apart since.

Jo-ann was recently diagnosed with Stage IV Bi-lateral Breast Cancer with metastasis to lungs and possibly liver (after being misdiagnosed last year in April 2012). She is currently doing Neoadjuvant chemotherapy

Jo-ann foresees the future being challenging with her recent diagnosis not only for her best friend (her husband), but also for their 2 daughters (Ava 8 & Layla 12). John and Jo-ann never had a wedding since they chose to be married at the court and purchased their first home instead spending on a wedding.

In Jo-ann’s words, “It would be such a miracle if we could experience such a positive occasion during this very difficult time.”

The OC/LA chapter of Wish Upon A Wedding will be granting a wish for Jo-ann and John this month at Rancho Las Lomas. Godfather Films was honored to donate our services for this great couple and Wish Upon A Wedding

The guests at this fabulous Destination Wedding at the beautiful The St. Regis Bahia Beach Resort, Puerto Rico were treated to an amazing three-day adventure organized by Tropical Weddings.

A Concept Film produced in Central Park New York was played for the guests to enjoy along with this Same Day Edit. We have included a couple of shots with the couple in the pool following the all-night party.

From the first time we met this couple we knew we were going to have fun on this job. After filming their Love Story in Las Vegas and then their wedding at Coco Palm in Pomona, we have concluded that they may be the most fun couple of all time. As you watch the film, you will notice it is contagious. Everybody around them also has a great time.
