HTA Cares 2017 Shoes for Kids

January brings with it the start of a new year, and the idea of a new you! We make resolutions to better ourselves, and to a degree, we hit the reset button; but we never forget the spirit of giving. Last month, HTA team members had the pleasure of meeting a group of wonderful children at the Renaissance Youth Center. For several years we have supported this wonderful cause and once again, we were able to come together and spread a little cheer to all those involved in the annual Shoes & Coats for Kids initiative. With the start of 2018, HTA is just as eager to continue its efforts to help the community and we invite everyone to carry the spirit of giving forward throughout the new year!

Every year in December, the employees at Highway Toll Administration partner with a youth center to provide winter coats and shoes for children who need them.

In 2017, the Renaissance Youth Center in the Bronx, New York which brings performance based music programs, including vocal classes, musical instruments and dancing, to over 3000 students in 26 public schools and community-based organizations was the location for HTA's Shoes & Coats for Kids Program.

HTA executives and employees met with kids one on one to help them choose their own coats and kids, which HTA then purchased and delivered the following week wrapped as Christmas presents.
