Higher Order Ambisonic Microphones From Theory to Application with Jens Meyer: Spatial Audio Summer Seminar 2018
Jens M. Meyer started his professional career with a vocational training at German Telecom and later received his M.S. (Dipl.-Ing.) in Electrical Engineering from the Darmstadt University of Technology, Germany. In 1997/98 Dr. Meyer was a member of the Acoustics Group at Bell Labs, Lucent Technologies. He returned to Darmstadt University to receive his Ph.D. (Dr.-Ing.) in Acoustics before joining Agere Systems. Dr. Meyer's professional interests focus on acoustic signal processing and real time audio implementations. He has authored several conference and journal papers, book chapters, and holds several patents.
Hosted by EMPAC at Rensselaer along with IRCAM (the Paris-based Institut de Recherche et Coordination Acoustique/Musique), and CCRMA (Stanford University Center for Computer Research in Music and Acoustics), this workshop gave participants the opportunity to experience large-scale, complex audio setups in pristine acoustic environments.
