Jim Ryken, VP Operations, Danfoss, November 2, 2016

Jim is a 1994 ISU BSAE Ag and Biosystems Engineering. He has worked for Danfoss Power Solutions since graduation (22 years). Jim spent ten years in product development on several global design teams of Hydraulic Pumps, Motors, Transmissions, and Electronic products including joysticks and micro controllers. In 2005 he transitioned to operations leadership at the Danfoss Plant in Ames, Iowa. In his operations role Jim has lead focused cross-functional teams and helped launch new business with customers like John Deere and Caterpillar. He later became the operations director for the Ames factory. Today Jim is the Global Vice President of Operations for the Hydrostatics division of Danfoss Power Solutions. Jim’s experience in a global company started though regular communication with engineering colleagues in Germany. This simple correspondence grew to being on global development programs within Danfoss and with our key customers. Working globally is part of the DNA at Danfoss. Jim has been a global leader (leading people in other cultures) since 2013.
