Issues #9 - They Don't Know

"I have entered upon a performance which is without example, whose accomplishment will have no imitator. I mean to present my fellow-mortals with a man in all the integrity of nature; and this man shall be myself." ~Jean-Jacques Rousseau

This is the conclusion of four years of work. In this "issues" I explore specific parts of the artist identity like validation, legitimacy and the excruciating need to create. I also rise the hypothesis that being and artist is a choice, then a need and a choice again. Artist is whom art does, but artist is also that who wakes up at 4 a.m. with and idea and can't go back to bed till it's done. As stated in Issues #7, It will be a hard life but you will find out who you are.

Finally I would like to acknowledge that for all of my introspection and deep thought in the matter I'm still far from deciphering the mythos of the artist but I will keep working on this till I do.

“The artist never entirely knows — We guess. We may be wrong, but we take leap after leap in the dark” ~Agnes de Mille
