Tucson Parks and Recreation Highlights Senior Meal Program for Parks and Recreation Month
July is National Park and Recreation Month and the National Recreation Association and Tucson Parks and Recreation are bringing attention to how important it is to support parks and recreation because every day, park and recreation professionals show up for their communities in service of equity, climate-readiness, and overall health and well-being. Park and recreation agencies across the country are among the biggest employers of youth. This summer, Tucson Parks and Recreation employed 99 young adults in essential positions not only for the community but as a jumping-off point for their careers. Positions such as lifeguards and recreation workers for our summer camps and Ready, Set, Rec! program.
