November 6th, 2016 - Roots: A Crisis of Faith
During the month of November, we will look back to early Methodism and the words and ways of Wesley. John Wesley, the founder of the Methodist Church, has a lot to say to the church today. In what ways can we benefit from knowing our “Roots” and getting in touch with our spiritual heritage? In what ways can the revival that Wesley triggered in the 18th Century happen again today? Perhaps you have been a longtime Methodist and are steeped in Methodism so you have ready answers to those questions. Perhaps you are new to Methodism and/or don’t know much of the history or theology of Wesley so you have no ideas of the answers to those questions. Let’s explore our “Roots” together and then make personal, church and community applications.
